Country’s first-ever financial printing + graphics company to earn certification from the NWBOC
NEW YORK, October 26, 2016 – doremus fp, a respected provider of financial, marketing and business communication services, announced today it has received certification by the National Women Business Owners Corporation as both a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) and Women Owned Small Business (WOSB).
“We know that diversity is increasingly important to our clients, and this certification will provide them with the assurance that they are working with a woman-owned business that has been fully vetted by a credible third party,” said Diane Wade, chief executive officer and owner of doremus fp. “We’re excited about the new opportunities this will open up for us, and we look forward to demonstrating to our new clients our capability to offer superior client service and outstanding delivery of their printing needs.”
WBE certification demonstrates that a woman has majority ownership and control of a business entity thereby enabling the business to compete for work set aside for woman- and minority- owned businesses in both the federal and private sectors. WOSB certification is required for participation in the federal procurement program that allows contracting officers to set aside specific contracts for certified WOSBs. Certification is a rigorous process that includes a lengthy application, review of financial and business information and an on-site business visit. ”
As one of a small number of woman-owned businesses in this industry, this is yet another way for us to stand out and make doremus fp the easy choice when it comes to our clients’ marketing and communication needs,” added Wade.
Wade brings strong marketing strength and creativity to her position as CEO of doremus fp and its consumer marketing and printing division, dfp graphics. She spent many years in major advertising firms, including Grey on a wide variety of global brands including health care, personal care and non-profits, then co-founded her own boutique agency with her long time art director partner. In 2013 she began transitioning to a leadership role at doremus fp, helping her husband Dave evolve the company he had founded in 1989. She went to work on the organization’s marketing and expanding the capabilities of dfp graphics. When Dave passed away in 2015 she took over the reins of the whole company. ”
As a woman business owner, I am excited to be able to help open the doors wider for young women to grow up in a corporate culture that has them in mind,” said Wade.
Doremus fp was officially certified as a WBE and WOSB on August 24, 2016.
